1. -The message behind the first PSA is to help any mental problems that covid bring us, such as loneliness, stress, and all kinds of negative thoughts about self or life. Telling people that they are there to listen to anything and providing an organization link.
-The second PSA is sending out the message of what to do and how to prevent getting covid. Such as not gathering in groups, wearing masks, and washing your hands to keep yourself and others safe.
-The third PSA is mainly sending out the message of how important wearing a mask can prevent covid. It also tells you the correct way to wear your mask and from that, the mask can protect you
-The fourth PSA used a different way of convincing everyone to wear masks. What is more different about this PSA is that there were more different characters but they are not trying to send messages by talking. They are trying to send a message out by showing their look with a mask on, which encourages people to wear it.
-The last PSA is sending a message that death will come to you if you don’t wear a mask. The danger is being told as a consequence of not wearing a mask at this special time.
2. Even though each PSA is very different, there are many similarities in all of the PSAs, such as they all amount to 1 min. Long. The message they want to send out is all about how important it is that we should do what we can to prevent the bad influences that covid brings us. All of the PSAs have used some kind of text either as little as a few words or a lot. Also, none of those PSAs have included much science or statistics, no numbers appear in all of the PSAs. Most but all, some of the PSAs do have a catchphrase from using simple words.
3. Based on all related to covid 19, the PSAs chose to present their message in many different ways and the styles are varied. The first and last PSA, it’s based on a more serious way of consequence to give out the message to the audience. Whereas the other PSAs choose to show the audience more positively. The main way to tell the difference is from the background music. From the first PSA, many serious sound effects are used to tell the importance of how covid affects people’s emotional feelings. Also, the first PSA is focused on people that are mentally struggling as their audience. In PSA 2,3, and 4 they all choose to present or persuade people to wear masks to prevent covid more positively by making lyrics, doodles, and interesting images. In those PSA their targeting audience are almost everyone that cares about protecting themselves from covid.
4. Similar places that occur in all PSA are a basic standard that most all PSA follows. They are all trying to give a message out to people, but just using different kinds of methods. Different types of PSA target different groups of audiences. The PSA’s creation should be based on their targeted audience and therefore is why PSAs have similarities and differences.
5. Yes, I can see how all of the PSAs have a main topic that they focus on. Where most of those PSAs included different kinds of shows in a more interesting way than just numbers of death rates like on the news. It is focusing on young adults as the audience, and I think that all the PSAs ended up so differently because young adults are separated into many types too. The pattern that I see in those PSAs is that they all ended with some kind of conclusion ending text or dialogue. As for myself, I don’t find the second PSA very persuasive because I think it’s too cartoon which I believe would fit kids at a younger age. For my PSA I would construct it in more interesting ways like other PSAs such as making lyrics or having lots of short moments of people together to show my message.
