A. Introduction
Our group has made a decision to focus on how video games affect children’s actions. Our thinking behind this choice is that we want to research whether video games impact children in a good or bad way. It has always been a very argumentative topic and our research paper wants to find out more about it. From our topic we will focus on why negative behavior appears in teens and children and whether video games are a cause of it.
B. Rationale
Our specific research inquiry question that we are targeting is how video games impact teenagers and children’s behavior.
This line of inquiry is significant because it impacts so many kids and they are the future of our country. Having a more clear notice about how video games affect children can provide changes and give an idea on how to prevent or improve.
I would hope to gain the view about the main topic and therefore also give details on what is being focused on. Straight forward telling on what the research will be about, and provide information to backup.
We experience people playing video games and having to wonder if some of these negative actions are being affected by the addiction to violence video games. Also for myself, I know friends that are addicted to video games and I also see how it affects their daily routines.

The main research questions of each source are “How violent video games affect behavior”, “Aggression behavior due to video games”, and “Studies on how video games impact on teenagers”.
There are study results in data form, statistical form, and word form in those sources. In the first two sources there are data results for the study and the last one has a diagram to show the relations between video games and one’s behavior.
The ultimate conclusions of each source is basically pointing to a result that video games and some violence behaviors are closely affected to each other. Exposure to violent video games are strongly correlated to one’s negative behavior.
These sources are full of information and through their study we can make a new view on how video games affect in various ways on children’s behavior. The argument can be made strong with those sources’ backup information.
D. Gantt Chart or Contract of Responsibility
Angela will be responsible for the introduction and starting the body paragraph of 2 ½ pages of the 10 page research paper. (Title, abstract, introduction, study methods, SOP)
Marilu will be responsible for the continuing body paragraph after Angela, writing 2 ½ page.(Methods of study,research methodology)
Nicole will be responsible for the continuing body paragraph after Mary, writing 2 ½ pages.(Results of study, argument)
Ashanti will be responsible for continuing the body paragraph after Nicole, writing 2 ½ page.(Future discussion on topic, conclusion, refine thesis statement)
Everyone is responsible for communicating and editing for parts anywhere in the paper to improve a better final research paper.
